Buy ECU Plugs and Pins in Australia

If you are looking to buy ECU plugs and pins in Australia, 12Volt Motorsports stocks genuine plug and pin sets for Haltech Elite and Nexus and FuelTech FT series ECUs, plus spare TE AMP Superseal contacts. These are the header connectors and terminals used to build a custom engine harness straight onto the ECU. The same sets cover patch harnesses, adapter looms, replacement of damaged ECU connectors and repair of poor previous wiring work. We are based in Altona Meadows in Melbourne's western suburbs and ship Australia-wide.

Building a Custom ECU Harness

A plug and pin set is the starting point of a custom harness. Wire it in M22759/32 Tefzel wire, run M27500 shielded cable for triggers and knock sensors, sleeve in Raychem DR25, seal with Sumitomo W5DL, and terminate sensor branches with Deutsch DTM, Amphenol ATM or the correct OEM style connector. The result runs exactly the circuits your build needs and outperforms any generic flying lead loom.

Most ECU header contacts, including AMP Superseal, are open barrel terminals and need a quality open barrel ratchet crimper with the correct die, different tooling from closed barrel Deutsch contacts. Do not assume all ECU pins are the same: the wrong terminal or a poor crimp causes loose retention, intermittent sensor faults, CAN faults and hard to find electrical problems.

ECUs We Support

We stock and install Haltech, Link, FuelTech and Holley engine management, and we build custom harnesses for these platforms in house. If your ECU is not listed above, call us and we will source the correct connector system.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where can I buy ECU plugs and pins in Australia?

12Volt Motorsports stocks genuine ECU plug and pin sets for Haltech Elite and Nexus and FuelTech FT series ECUs in Melbourne, plus spare TE AMP Superseal contacts, shipped Australia-wide.

What is included in an ECU plug and pin set?

The ECU header connector housings for that ECU model plus the full count of matching contacts, everything needed to terminate a custom harness onto the ECU. Check the product page for the exact housings and pin counts in each set.

Which plug and pin set suits my ECU?

Match the set to your exact ECU model: Elite 550/750, Elite 1500/2500, Elite S2/S3, Nexus R3, Nexus R5, or FuelTech FT450 through FT700. If your ECU is not listed, call us and we will source the correct connector system.

Why build a custom harness instead of buying a pre-made loom?

A custom harness runs exactly the circuits your build needs, in the right lengths, with motorsport grade materials. Plug and pin sets are the starting point: add Tefzel wire, DR25 and the right sensor connectors and the result outperforms any generic flying lead loom.

Can the wrong ECU pin cause wiring problems?

Yes. The wrong terminal or a poor crimp causes loose connections, intermittent faults, sensor issues, CAN faults, injector and ignition problems and unreliable ECU operation. Match the exact terminal series and wire size for your ECU connector.

What crimp tool do ECU pins need?

Most ECU header contacts, including AMP Superseal, are open barrel terminals and need a quality open barrel ratchet crimper with the correct die. This is different tooling from closed barrel Deutsch contacts. Do not assume all ECU pins are the same: the wrong terminal or a poor crimp causes loose retention, intermittent sensor faults, CAN faults and hard to find electrical problems. Call us if you are unsure what your set needs.

Do you stock plugs for Link, MoTeC or other ECUs?

Call us with the ECU model, connector photos and any part numbers you can see. We regularly source connector systems beyond what is listed online, and for plug-in ECUs the factory style OEM connectors in our range often cover the sensor side of the job.

Do you ship ECU plugs and pins Australia-wide?

Yes. We ship to Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Canberra, Hobart, Darwin and everywhere in between, usually same or next business day.
