What Is an Engine Management System?
An engine management system, or ECU, controls fuel delivery, ignition timing, boost, idle and every sensor input on the engine. Aftermarket ECUs come in when the factory computer is no longer suitable: modified engines, swaps, or builds that need flex fuel, boost control, data logging, CAN integration, digital dashes or PDM control. The ECU does not add power by itself, it gives the tuner the control to make power safely and consistently.

Yes. We build custom engine harnesses in house using M22759/32 Tefzel wire, DR25 and the correct plug and pin sets, and we wire full engine management, PDM and dash systems.
Do you supply the ECU plugs and pins separately?
Yes. Plug and pin sets for Haltech Elite and Nexus and FuelTech FT series are stocked, so DIY builders can construct their own harness.
Do aftermarket ECUs add horsepower?
Not by themselves. An aftermarket ECU gives the tuner better control over fuel, ignition, boost, flex fuel, idle and safety strategies. The power gain comes from the combination of engine setup, wiring quality, sensors and the tune.
