Unlike non-adhesive harness sleeving such as Raychem DR25, ATUM has an internal adhesive liner that helps seal and support wiring transitions when heat is applied. What is Raychem ATUM Used For?
Raychem ATUM is commonly used where wiring needs sealing, strain relief, moisture resistance and mechanical support. It is often used around harness exits, connector backshells, DR25 transitions, splices and sections where a thicker adhesive-lined heatshrink is preferred over standard heatshrink.
ATUM is not normally used as the main outer sleeve for a full motorsport harness. Raychem DR25 is usually used for outer harness sleeving, while ATUM is used at selected points where sealing and support are required.
