Buy Raychem ATUM Adhesive Heatshrink in Australia

12Volt Motorsports stocks genuine Raychem ATUM medium wall adhesive lined heatshrink in seven sizes from 5/32 inch to 2 inch, held in Melbourne and shipped Australia-wide. ATUM is the highest shrink ratio product in our range at 4:1, which makes it the go to tubing when you need to pass over a connector body and shrink right down onto the cable behind it.

ATUM is used with Raychem DR25 outer sleeving, Sumitomo W5DL, Raychem moulded boots and M22759/32 Tefzel wire in professional motorsport harness builds.

What is Raychem ATUM?

ATUM is a medium wall, dual wall heatshrink with a 4:1 shrink ratio and an internal adhesive liner. As the tubing shrinks, the adhesive melts and bonds to plastics, rubbers and metals, environmentally sealing components and interconnections. Operating temperature is -55 degrees C to 110 degrees C. It is not used as the main outer sleeve, that job belongs to DR25. ATUM works at the points where the harness needs sealing and mechanical support.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where can I buy Raychem ATUM in Australia?

12Volt Motorsports stocks genuine Raychem ATUM adhesive lined heatshrink in Australia in seven sizes from 5/32 inch to 2 inch. We are based in Melbourne and ship Australia-wide.

What is Raychem ATUM used for?

ATUM is used for adhesive lined sealing, strain relief, splice protection, connector exits and harness transitions. Its 4:1 shrink ratio lets it pass over a connector body then shrink right down onto the cable behind it.

What shrink ratio is Raychem ATUM?

4:1. Each size shrinks to approximately one quarter of its supplied diameter, the highest ratio in our heatshrink range.

What is the difference between ATUM and W5DL?

Both are adhesive lined. ATUM has a 4:1 ratio and a softer medium wall, best where the tubing must clear a large connector body. Sumitomo W5DL has a 3:1 ratio and a semi rigid wall, best for splices and compact sealed breakouts. W5DL is also the Raychem SCL equivalent we stock.

Is ATUM the same as DR25?

No. Raychem DR25 is the non adhesive outer harness sleeve. ATUM is adhesive lined and is used only at sealing, strain relief and transition points.

What temperature is ATUM rated to?

ATUM operates from -55 degrees C to 110 degrees C. The adhesive lining bonds to plastics, rubbers and metals as it melts, sealing components and interconnections.

Can I use ATUM for engine bay wiring?

Yes. ATUM is commonly used in engine bay wiring where adhesive lined sealing, strain relief and harness finishing are required. Keep it away from direct exhaust heat, DR25 handles the hot zones better.

Do you ship Raychem ATUM Australia-wide?

Yes. We ship to Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Canberra, Hobart, Darwin and everywhere in between.
