Open Barrel Wire Splice - Small

Genuine TE Connectivity (AMP) AMPLIVAR open barrel splice, Small size, part number 62304-2. The everyday splice size for motorsport harness work: sensor grounds, 5V reference splitters and small multi-wire joins, crimped concentric twist style. The open barrel crimps around the stripped conductors the same way a connector terminal does, giving a compact, inspectable, vibration proof join.

Sizing by CMA: add up the circular mil area of every wire entering the splice and pick the splice whose CMA range covers the total. This Small covers 600 to 3,000 CMA, from a single 20 AWG up to three 22 AWG Tefzel wires in one join.

Common Tefzel wire CMA values: 22 AWG = 754, 20 AWG = 1,216, 18 AWG = 1,900, 16 AWG = 2,426, 14 AWG = 3,830, 12 AWG = 5,900.
